Loading... Please wait...PearlDry was first implemented on the Heidelberg Quickmaster DI® in 1995, and Presstek continues to make improvements in plate design and manufacturing processes. PearlDry plate material is supplied in polyester-backed spools that contain 28 or 36 plates. This innovative plate design-working in conjunction with Presstek's laser imaging system-results in an optimized DI press that delivers high-quality output and a high degree of consistency and durability.
PearlDry plates are also environmentally friendly. The thermal laser imaging process eliminates hazardous waste associated with conventional lithographic plate production. The non-photographic plates eliminate the disposal problems and costs associated with processing chemistry. Since it is a waterless plate system, fountain and alcohol substitutes are also eliminated.
